Penwartha Cottages has now been established as a successful holiday cottage business since 2005. Our success has been attributed to the fantastic location of our Cornish holiday cottages near Perranporth and also the high quality of the accommodation. Bill’s Barn and Edmondscote are both what is expected of a quaint Cornish cottage, in a perfect country setting, ideal for your self catering holiday in Cornwall.
Due to the fact that out of the summer season they are also our home, the cottages are ‘homely’ and we do our best to keep them that way for our guests and do not strip everything personal out so that they become ‘soul less’. We also allow our guests to bring their well behaved pets on holiday with them; after all they are family members too!
Though it is sometimes difficult to leave our lovely home for the summer, we find that our guests are respectful of our possessions and care for the cottages as though they are their own. We are very grateful for this and are usually very happy to welcome our guests back.
We provide linen and towels in our cottages so that you don’t have to worry about bringing them with you. All we ask is that you bring beach towels, as we do not provide these. Also included in the price is the first £10 of electricity. Both cottages have key meters.
It is always helpful to our guests to provide them with some information about places that are good to visit in the area and there are always a selection of tourist information leaflets in the cottages. We also recommend good local places to eat, of which there are many. For those who love to walk, and enjoy exploring Cornwall we leave ordnance survey maps in the cottages so that the local footpaths can be explored.
