My work has always been hugely influenced by the countryside and coastline of Cornwall; the beautiful County I grew up in. Living abroad for a couple of years brought the stunning landscape of Cornwall into sharp focus when I returned in 2004 to attend Falmouth College of Art. Studying at Falmouth introduced me to printmaking which is a favourite genre of mine. I love the amazing textures that can be achieved with print making and the simplicity of a line drawing transformed by the etching process. I continue to love drawing in the landscape, particularly using pens which allow me to be more fluid in my drawing, to take greater risks with a line that cant be rubbed out. The ever changing colours and diversity of this little County never fail to amaze me and still take my breath away.
